The Boommobile

Buying a car is like trying to rear a toddler...it is necessary to always be on your toes and most of the verbal communication consists of answers including, "NO, NO, NO!" No matter how many ways you say it, the children, or in this case, car salesmen do not understand the word no. It was hilariously exhausting!

I learned quite a few lessons from my haggle date today.
1. Have limits. .. I had to make sure my limits were not exceeded no matter how sweet the deal sounded.
2. Pay attention. This is no time for lallygagging or dolly daydreams.
3. Ignore the winks and the smiles. They are only there to make you feel warm and fuzzy...this does not mean they are especially weak in the knees just for you.
4. Don't be afraid to say no. Even if you have to say it 5 million times...

This was a learning experience, plus it was a little fun...and in the end I ended up with the coolest car anybody could ever want. Drum roll please! My car is a 2006 Subaru Legacy, with the temperature on the dash of how cold it is currently outside. That's right. Now that you know what kind of vehicle I purchased, please do not come to my house and vandalize it, I really do not have time for that right now.

God took care of me. So did Liann...her presence postponed my thoughts of, "what the frick am I doing??" for awhile. I was scared out of my wits in making such a big decision, but it's not like I surprised God with my choice. It is nice to know SOMEONE has some control over my life. It is such comedy to me how he allows me to feel so important making choices in my life, when all along I never made so much as a scratch on his elaborate plan for me.

By the way, Liann is pretending I am in love with my car and keeps mocking me... but.....
" Jealousy is the great exaggerator."
~Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller, The Conspiracy of Fiesco, 1783

This is the car I bought if you'd like to check it out:

I'm surprised you aren't out sleeping in your car. Oh wait, maybe you are. I think there might be a spec of dust on it. You better go check that out!

Dolly daydreams? What the hello monkey are those?

Cool car. But don't be kissin' it or anything. You'll get your lips stuck to it in the cold ;)

Yeah! Congrats on your new car. Ignore Kathie, you can kiss it all you want! You're right about car salesmen. They scare the you-know-what out of me. You couldn't pay me enough to have that job!
