All over the place

Rest. God says to lie in green pastures. Why am I so bad at it? Okay, I admit from time to time I get this lazy fog that comes over me and I cannot do anything productive even if I had a goose on my tail trying to take a nip out of my rear....which actually almost happened when I was a kid-thankfully I hopped a fence out of harms way....Anyways.....I like routine. Problem is, rest is not a routine.

On another note, how hard is it to use the brain that is so conveniently with us at all times? The other day, driving out of Running Springs I see a female crossing the street as her small child barely the age of 3 follows her! She must have been pondering her stupidity as her child was trotting along behind her with only the supervision of everyone else in the world besides his caregiver. It's not that hard.

Also, working in an emotionally disturbed SDC class has proven that too many people who choose to reproduce do not use their head. I expect the problem is, is that they don't choose. All day I have to calmly endure stories of parent's moronity (I don't care if that is not a word...it should be) in their care for children. I know the phrase "children are our future" is a little bit chismoso, or cheese ball, but frick it is true!

Now, here is a comical relief story. I have an autistic girl in my class who never ceases to make me laugh. We will call her Gigi, for safety reasons. Now Gigi has kept me on my toes by her attempts to run away, her amazing ability to scare anyone with a good growl, and her stomach's talent of never being full. Being autistic she enjoys saying phrases or words over and over and over and over. These we will label as Gigi-isms. Here is one for the week: You don't eat out of the trash can, that'll make you sick and die!". I hope you will follow her wise advice.
