Liann and I heard some weird fluttering outside our dining room window this morning... we peeked out to see 4 mommy and daddy quails, and about 20 baby quail!!! It was so amazing. We think they are nesting down by some big rocks near the deck. I managed to grab a few shots of them as they scurried away. Pretty amazing security too.... there was an adult at the head of the pack, two on either side, and one at the rear of all the bebes. Seems they were looking for some breakfast! I looked them up and average amount of hatchlings are from 1-28 babies! Woah.
