Since when did personal hygiene go out of fashion? Either I have a serious problem and notice too much..... or people are nasty. I thought the epitome of gross was the high school age group.... then I changed my mind to the middle schoolers..... THEN I decided it is college students!!!! Take a shower!
Here is a taste of what I encountered this week:
- Boy trying to schmooze me over in English class with white crusty gel in his hair.... take a shower!!!
-Girl sneezing in her hand, then reaches for the door handle to the classroom..... sick! Disinfect your hand!
-Boy whose feet and sandals looked as if he hasn't washed them since he went to watch the olympics in 800BCE (see? I learn a little history from the historian in my house : )
-Girl sitting next to me that smells like she took a bath in onions.... and can't stop trying to talk to me.
-Girls and Boys making my smoothie at Juice It Up.... wearing their hair down and playing a game of "slap each others booties".
-The grand finale: Boy in class who forgot his book and asked to share mine. That's fine. But NOT while you sit next to me and pick your scabs! THEN you want to borrow a pen!?? THEN I insist you keep it, but you shove it into my hand!!! OH MY GOSH I almost used a whole bottle of hand sanitizer when I walked out of that class.
The list could go on and on, not that I went on and on to anyone (poor thing). My germophobia is exponentially worse every day! Students in college love to sit right next to the one girl who is freakishly scared and grossed out by nasty people and germs. Seriously, how hard is it to take a shower and get a haircut? I know this sounds insensitive because maybe some people can't afford a shower and a haircut..... I'm not picking on people like that. I think if you can dress like you walked off the Abercrombie and Fitch shelf, you can at least bathe. I don't know... maybe that is a stretch.
This sounds so mean!! I'm not trying to be mean! I just don't want to worry about catching rabies and herpes when I go to English class!!!!!!!

Not that I was ever a clean freak - but wow... If you ever have kids of your own, you're in trouble.
Poop, spit-up and barf are only the beginning.
Amazing thing is that you find out just how hard it actually is to catch rabies and herpes!
Still - funny post :)
I know I'm a freak... although I am a clean freak... I do not mind kid nasty. I guess it is because they can't really help it. But, when they are old enough to be responsible for their hygiene... I will be in trouble! : )
I know how much I gross you out so I can't imagine how horrifying your classes must be!
I love my little OCD germophobe!
